GameAccount, the Smurfit and Dermot Desmond-backed online casino company targeting regulated markets in North America, has struck a deal with Australian firm Reel Time Gaming to bring the slot game firm online and into the US market.
In recent months, we reported how GameAccount Network, headed by Dermot Smurfit Jr, a nephew of Michael Smurfit, signed a major deal with the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation (MPTN), the owners and operators of the Foxwoods Resort Casino, to develop play-for-fun games on the internet.
As well as building an online gaming portal, both MPTN and GameAccount will build turnkey business-to-business solutions for other gaming operators in the US that want to be ready for when the US passes online gambling legislation.
“Our mission is to enable land-based casino slot manufacturers to swiftly move online into Europe and North America’s regulated internet gaming markets,” said Dermot Smurfit.
“Content partners are selected based on their track record and the compelling nature of their casino slot gaming content which generally out performs online native equivalents. We are delighted to welcome Reel Time Gaming as a content partner within GameAccount Network, and we look forward to bringing high-quality facsimiles of their compelling machine-based games online and distributing them into regulated internet gaming markets, such as Italy and the UK and, in due course, Spain and New Jersey.”
The deal will enable Reel Time Gaming to drive online gaming versions of popular slot games like Eye of Horos into markets in North America and Europe without having to maintain a remote gaming server.
“Regulation has only begun to reshape the landscape of internet gaming and we’re confident that our content, online within GameAccount Network’s Internet Gaming System, will benefit greatly from their distribution reach into fast-growing regulated casino slot gaming markets, such as Italy,” said Martin Visocnik, managing director of Reel Time Games.
