HP to create 120 jobs in Dublin

21 Oct 2010

One hundred twenty high-tech, multilingual jobs are to be created at computer manufacturer HP’s enterprise division in Dublin.

Fifty of the jobs are available immediately, RTE reported, while the remaining 70 depends on whether Ireland brings forth the qualified workers to fill the roles – the positions require knowledge of languages, such as French, German and Italian.

HP’s managing director Martin Murphy said Ireland’s employment level could recover with the creation of a small number of jobs each time, rather than focusing on big employers who might take on larger numbers of staff.

Jobs at Just Mobile

A new pre-paid mobile network is also announcing new jobs. Just Mobile is to create 25 jobs immediately, and another 70 over the next two years.

With Just Mobile, one cent a minute of each call is donated to the user’s charity of choice. Forty charities so far have signed up to the network.
