Google Voice coming to iPhone?

Google Voice coming to iPhone?

Apple recently released guidelines for apps on iOS, which Google Voice didn't break

iPhone 4 will reportedly be getting an official Google Voice application in the next few weeks.

According to TechCrunch, a source close to Google has said it has already been approved and that Google needs to restructure the app to work with the iPhone 4 and with iOS multitasking capabilities.

Google Voice had previously been blocked from appearing on iPhones, with Apple claiming the app “duplicated existing functionality.”

However, after Apple released a document regarding its guidelines for its App Store, none of the rules seemed to apply to Google Voice.

Third-party Google Voice apps have appeared on the iPhone, as a result, it would be wise for Google to bring an official app for the platform.

Google Voice is already available from the Android mobile platform and for BlackBerry devices.
