Citrix to create 50 jobs in Ireland

31 Aug 2011

Citrix Systems Ireland will increase its workforce by 50 to support its technical services business in the EMEA region.

Citrix is looking for candidates for roles such as customer technical support engineering, networking technical support engineering, escalation engineering, technical relationship management and renewal sales.

The company is also interested in those with experience in customer online content development, software development and program and contract management.

“As our customers embrace virtual and cloud computing as an agile and cost effective way to deliver desktops and applications to employees, Citrix continues to grow across EMEA,” said John Kelly, senior director of Customer Technical Support and Education Services in the EMEA for Citrix Systems Ireland.

“Our services business in Europe is also growing rapidly; as such we have immediate career opportunities at all levels from graduate to management for technology professionals who want to advance their career in a fast paced, customer-focused technical environment.

“As a services business one of the key ingredients for ongoing success and growth is the availability of the right skills and talent. These job openings exist now, we are hiring immediately and want to hear from talented technology professionals from graduates to experienced industry professionals,” said Kelly.

Citrix’s in-house technical training team will help new employees transition their skills from other technologies to Citrix-specific ones.

“This 50 jobs announcement following on from last year’s 30 jobs announcement is very welcome news from a leading ICT company,” said Barry O’Leary, CEO of IDA.

“The expansion illustrates that Ireland is an increasingly attractive location for technical services due to the talented and highly skilled workforce. IDA Ireland offers its continued support to Citrix as it expands its operations in Ireland.”

The Citrix technical support business helps their partners and end users across the EMEA region for all Citrix technologies, including hardware networking products and software virtualisation technologies.

The Dublin site also has software development activities, online content and customer self-help technology.
