Social media giant Twitter is ramping up its presence in Dublin and is on the hunt for ‘rock stars’ (aka, account executives) for its Dublin, London, Tokyo and Brazil offices.
Yesterday, Twitter HR person Michelle Fogarty tweeted: “Rockstars required to start our EMEA business. Account Executives 4 Dutch & UK/IRL Markets.”
A close look at the jobs on offer shows that the majority are in the Dublin office in the area of account executive (sales) but there are some additional roles in Dublin that include account activity and abuse manager, legal policy associate, revenue accounting manager and user safety manager.
In addition to the sales jobs, there are multilingual roles in user support covering the French, German and Spanish markets.
The bulk of the available creative and engineering positions are in London, including an Android software engineer, front-end software engineers and an agency and brands advocate.
In all, there are 42 position available, with 18 exclusively at Twitter’s new European headquarters in Dublin.
Twitter announced it would open new international operations in Dublin last year and soon began hiring for roles in HR.
It joins the likes of Facebook, Google, Microsoft, PayPal and Zynga in having set up international operations in Ireland.
In April, it emerged that 12 new jobs for the Dublin operations – roles in sales, support and administration – would be created, when Stephen McIntyre, director of International Online Sales & Operations at Twitter, announced the new jobs on his own Twitter account.
