Marketing software company Hubspot is to create 17 new jobs in its ‘DubSpot’ offices in Dublin, for people in sales, support, services, and engineering.
The company indicated it sees a bright future in its Dublin office, which, aside from being the company’s only office outside of the US, is the company’s EMEA headquarters.
In its video announcing the creation of these jobs, HubSpot Ireland’s inbound marketing specialist Maria Sweeney said the company hopes to have more than 100 people working in its European headquarters in the coming years.
CEO Brian Halligan and CTO Dharmesh Shah founded the American company in 2006, and it now represents more than 9,000 companies in 56 countries.
The company is following the Google model of office work, with an emphasis on encouraging creativity through a relaxed atmosphere.
“Walk around our office and you’ll see lots of interesting things: a fridge fully stocked with free beer and snacks, ping pong and darts, co-workers choreographing a flash mob, dodgy fashion, cactus plants, cool HubSpot transparent water flasks and meeting rooms named after inspiring entrepreneurs,” HubSpot says on its website.
