CA Technologies has succeeded in reducing its carbon footprint by 30pc since 2008, while it has also reduced its paper consumption by 16.3m pages, that’s according to its 2011 sustainability report, released today.
CA Technologies managed to reduce its paper trail by implementing a print management system in the US with Canon.
In the report, What Moves Us, the IT management software and solutions company said it had saved 6,200 metric tonnes of carbon emissions and US$16m in energy and real estate costs through the virtualisation of its development labs.
As well as greening its own operations, CA has developed an energy, carbon and sustainability management solution called ecoSoftware to help customers such as Tesco reduce their energy consumption, cut costs and deliver on their sustainability goals.
