Samsung, HTC and LG revealed a Windows Phone 7 smartphone each for the Irish market within the next month.
LG Optimus 7
The LG Optimus 7 offers a 5-megapixel camera, with 720p HD video capturing capabilities.
It also allows the user to take 360-degrees panoramic photos.
It has a 3.8-inch WVGA display and includes DLNA streaming capabilities on any compatible device. It runs on a 1GHz processor.
The Optimus 7 features an augmented reality app called Scansearch, which can search out restaurants, bars and hospitals within a 5km radius simply by pointing your phone in a certain direction.
The app can also tell the weather by pointing it upwards. Another feature on the LG Optimus 7 includes a voice-to-text function, which can be used for SMS or internet messaging.
The LG Optimus 7 will be available for the Vodafone network from 21 October.
Sasmung Omnia 7
The Sasmung Omnia 7 features a vivid, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display.
The Omnia 7 offers a 5MP camera with an LED flash and also offers HD 720p video capturing.
It includes Bluetooth connectivity, Wi-Fi and runs on a 1GHz processor.
The Samsung Omnia 7 will be available from 3 and Meteor from the end of November.
HTC HD7
The HTC HD7 includes a 4.3-inch screen, Dolby Mobile, SRS surround sound and a kickstand to prop it up while watching movies.
It, too, features a 5-MP camera with HD 720p video-capturing abilities.
The HD7 will grant users access to HTC’s Hub, which will give them access to numerous apps from HTC.
It also runs on a 1GHz snapdragon processor.
The HTC HD7 will be available from 21 October from the O2 network.
