Samsung has confirmed the Galaxy Nexus, the first device to run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, will see a European release date of 17 November.
Samsung Mobile confirmed the news on its Twitter account, saying the smartphone would roll out across the continent on that day.
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus will feature a 4.65-inch, 720p resolution contour display and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor.
It will come with either 4G LTE or HSPA connectivity and its camera will be able to shoot full HD video.
The smartphone will be the first device to run on Android 4.0, which will let users share content between phones using near field communications, and will also let users input text for emails or SMS messages using their voices.
The OS can recognise the user’s face to unlock the phone and it has Google’s new social network, Google+, built in.
