HTC One wins #MWC13 award for best new mobile device

HTC’s new One smartphone has been presented with the GSMA award for the best new mobile device at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The award recognises the mobile device the judges believe holds the most promise for success in the market this year.

“With exciting features like BlinkFeed, BoomSound, UltraPixel camera combined with the zero gap aluminium body design, we believe that the HTC One will really change the way that people use their phones, revolutionising the overall mobile experience,” said Benjamin Ho, chief marketing officer at HTC.

The HTC One has also been receiving recognition from both Tech Radar (“Best Phone” and “Best in Show”) and Mobile Geeks (“Best Smartphone”).

Launched on 19 February, the HTC One is crafted with a zero-gap aluminum unibody and will feature a 4.7-inch Full HD screen. It comes with an Android Jelly Bean operating system and LTE network technology.

The display is capable of 468ppi resolution. In terms of processor, it will come with a quad core Qualcomm Snap Dragon 28nm chip, 2GB of RAM, 64GB of memory and 25GB of Dropbox storage.

The HTC One comes with a camera that has a f/2.0 aperture lens and an UltraPixel sensor that gathers in 300pc more light than traditional smartphone sensors.
