Ever wondered what it would be like to see Pelé and Messi playing up front, side-by-side? Xbox gamers will be able to see this vision clearer with exclusive content on FIFA 14, and lucky Xbox One pre-orders will even receive the title for free.

FIFA 14 arrives on Xbox 360 on 27 September and will be available on the Xbox One from launch. Yesterday at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, Microsoft and EA Sports revealed additional content for the game exclusively for Xbox users in the form of FIFA 14 Ultimate Team.

Ultimate Team will let gamers create just that: a team made up football legends past and present. More players will become available at different times via Gold Packs or through the in-game transfer market, with gamers competing to create the perfect squad.

Freddie Ljungberg and Ruud Gullit will be two of the first legends to join the game later this year and both were present at the Gamescom reveal. Other players coming to the game include the aforementioned Pelé, Patrick Vieira and Gary Lineker.

Bundles of joy

Microsoft also revealed two bundles packing FIFA 14, while stocks last.

Pre-orders of the Xbox One Day One Edition in Europe will come with a free digital version of FIFA 14 and, from 27 September, an Xbox 360 FIFA 14 Launch Bundle with a copy of the game will be available for €249.

Other blockbuster games coming with exclusive Xbox content include Tom Clancy’s The Division and Call of Duty: Ghosts, the latter of which will also feature in a bundle pack coming in November.
