Sick of reading about the Garth Brooks Ireland concert fiasco on the internet? A web design firm in Dublin has developed a Chrome plug-in called Garth Blocks that rids the internet of all references to the country crooner.
In a sorry saga worthy of its own country ballad, five concerts featuring Brooks at Croke Park in Dublin at the end of the month have been called off after authorities in the city would not license the shows and the singer himself would not compromise on anything less than five shows over five consecutive nights.
While 400,000 ticket holders are even now hoping for some kind 11th-hour reprieve for the Brooks concerts, much of the rest of the Irish population is fed up hearing and seeing news about the fiasco.
Now respite has come in the form of the ‘Garth Blocks’ app developed by digital media company EightTwenty.
Just visit this link to download the plugin from the Chrome web store and watch Brooks disappear from the web pages you visit.
