Featuring 3GB of RAM, a 5-inch display and a 20.7MP camera (4MP on the front), the new HTC One M9 smartphone looks set to be a cool device.
With accessories including clear cases, waterproof headsets, screen protectors and HTC BoomBass, there’s a lot going on, if details provided by @UpLeaks are anything to go by.
The HTC One M9 will support up to 64GB of storage, which is nothing new in the smartphone world, but supporting VoLTE, Carrier Aggregation and LTE Category 6, which allows for download speeds of 300Mbps (50Mbps for uploads) is impressive.
The phone is set to be revealed in a couple of weeks’ time at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, the same time that Samsung’s S6 smartphone is being unveiled.
Interestingly, it will include the new Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the one Samsung is heavily reported to be moving away from. The quad-core processor reportedly overheated during Samsung tests when it developed its latest smartphone, with Qualcomm admitting that a large customer was dropping the product, without naming names.
Running on separate processors will allow for fairly extensive differences, one would expect. But we’ll have to wait a little bit longer before we know for sure.
Images rendered by @PhoneDesigner, who claims to be working off information leaked about the phone of late, look fairly impressive.
