CA Technologies wins Green IT award

20 May 2011

CA Technologies has won an award for its ecoSoftware carbon management and sustainability solution at the Green IT Awards in London.

The IT management software and solutions company scooped the Minister of Energy Award last night at the Green IT Awards for its CA ecoSoftware, an energy, carbon and sustainability management solution to help organisations reduce carbon emissions, manage natural resource consumption, cut energy costs and deliver on their environmental goals.

The Green IT Awards themselves showcase and reward technology solutions, companies and organisations that have made a significant contribution to improving the IT industry’s environmental performance over the past 12 months.

Commenting on the win, Sonny Masero, vice-president, Sustainability EMEA, CA Technologies, said: “I am extremely pleased that CA Technologies and our ecoSoftware solution has been recognised by these prestigious industry awards. The fact that they are voted on by the readers of Green IT magazine, including IT and sustainability professionals, industry commentators and CA Technologies’ own customers, make these awards very meaningful and relevant.

The awards are supported by The Department of Energy and Climate Change in the UK.

CA Technologies has recently published its latest Sustainability Report, highlighting its sustainability and environmental performance progress between 2010 and 2011.

The second annual Business & Leadership Green Economy briefing takes place from 8am on Tuesday, 31 May 2011 at the Four Seasons Hotel, Dublin. Visit the event’s website or contact Niamh Carwood for more information.
