Computer giant Dell is planning to launch a 7-inch version of its Android-based Streak tablet computer. A 10-inch version is expected to arrive six to 12 months later. Windows 7 versions of Streak are also expected.
As reported recently, Dell CEO Michael Dell showed off a 7-inch version of the Streak, an Android-based tablet computer. The company launched its 5-inch version earlier this year.
The Wall Street Journal reported earlier today that Dell will launch a whole slew of new products in the next six to 12 months, including additional 3-inch, 4-inch and 10-inch versions of the Streak.
In the very near future, the 7-inch and 3-inch versions will be launched, according to Dell’s Greater China president Amid Midha.
Midha said that as well as Android, Dell will sell Windows 7 versions of the Streak.
Last year, Dell struck a major deal with China Mobile to distribute smartphones in China. China will overtake the US as the biggest PC market for Dell by 2012.
