LAS VEGAS – Digital-imaging giant Canon is to bring out a new HD camera that brings a new perspective to using LCD displays to edit on the go.
The Vixia HF G10 records crisp, high-definition video to a 32GB internal flash drive or directly to a 2 SDXC-compatible memory card slot for fast and easy sharing.
It comes with Canon’s HD CMOS Pro 1,920 x 1,080 image sensor. Canon representative Hugh Applewaite explained people can record HD content without needing to resize the movie or still. It comes with a 1.8 aperture and 1.5 LUX.

One of the interesting features of the new camera is users just tap the screen to take pictures. They can also write onto the screen using a stylus and add various effects. It also comes with Power IS telephoto zooming and a new anti-shake capability, so steadiness isn’t affected when zooming in and out.
“We want people to be pros and get professional results without having to be a professional to use it,” Applewaite added.
He said the new camera will hit the market in March.
