Fans of singer Whitney Houston will be able to watch her funeral online on 18 February.

That’s the date Houston’s friends and family will gather to remember her at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey, where she sang as a child.

A single video camera will broadcast the ceremony online. The Associated Press has been granted the right to film the funeral, which will be streamed on the Associated Press’ website, and will also be made available to broadcasters, reports say.

The service is scheduled to start at 12pm EST (17pm GMT) and is expected to last 90 minutes. Afterwards, Houston will be buried in Fair View Cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey.

There will be no public memorial service.

Houston (48) was found unconscious in her Beverly Hills, California, hotel room on 11 February, just hours before she was to attend a pre-Grammy Awards party.

The cause of her death is under investigation.
