Google+ – is it a ghost town? (infographic)
Internet search giant Google has reported that its social network Google+ has amassed 170m users, but pundits say it’s a virtual ghost town. A new infographic looks at who’s right.
Facebook is still the granddaddy of them all when it comes to number of users – more than 900m – placing Google+ a distant second when it comes to total user number. In addition, for every 100m users, the average number likely to share a story is 197.3 on Twitter, making Google+ No 4 in that respect, with 6.0.
The infographic designed by Vapour and published on Visual.ly also outlines how much more active other social media channels are compared to Google+, and social media platforms’ total percentage of shares in different news sectors.
