However, the honeymoon may not last. Skype says it plans to charge users for 3G calls between Skype users by next year.

It is understood Skype has to charge for the 3G calls in order to fund future investments and maintain operations.

The company has given few details of the pricing plans for 3G calls but said the pricing would be “competitive.”
