Stratergia
Stratergia is an Irish company that has developed unique software to manage and measure power at both the server and application level without any hardware requirements within data centres. It allows companies optimise their applications by hardware and can reduce overall Data Centre powers costs by 35%. It also allows data centres put an accurate low cost virtual meter on every server, allows the right hardware to be hibernated, optimises rack and PDU occupancy, and allows for cost allocation by power usage and accurate forecasting of power requirements.
The software called Papillon monitors power in real time and is providing actionable, intelligent information that the CFO and the data centre manager can act on to reduce overall operational costs.It works across all platforms such as AIX, Unix, Linux, Windows, Solaris and VM ware. The information is collated into a database which can then be extracted into any other management tool or monitoring system.
Our target market is Data Centres, Telecommunications/Mobile Operators, Financial Institutions, Large Enterprise Customers. No Data Centre currently has the capability of monitoring power at application level – in fact even the most advanced customer cannot afford to put a meter on every server and hence they do some form of power monitoring at the rack and maybe socket level.
