The Dell Centre for Entrepreneurs has already seen success in the US and, more recently, the UK. Now it’s Ireland-based entrepreneurs’ turn to benefit from access to funding and mentoring through this programme.
The Dell Centre for Entrepreneurs in Ireland launches on Friday, 24 January, at the Digital Hub in Dublin. President of Dell EMEA Aongus Hegarty will speak at the event, along with Ingrid Vanderveldt, founder of the Dell Centre for Entrepreneurs and Dell Innovators Credit Fund, Digital Hub CEO Edel Flynn, and Lisa Vaughan from Enterprise Ireland.
The programme will offer support for Irish start-ups to grow and scale quickly using Dell’s technical expertise and infrastructure. Further details on how start-ups can benefit and get involved will be revealed at the launch on Friday.
In November last year, the launch of the UK centre opened up stg£10m in funding to UK start-ups to acquire growth-critical technologies.
The original programme launched in the US in June 2012 and, as well as global expansion to the UK and Ireland, plans are also in place to establish a centre in Canada.
One of the initiatives spawned from the Dell Center for Entrepreneurs is the Dell Innovators Credit Fund, a US$115m debt capital financing programme for venture and angel-backed start-ups delivered through Dell Financial Services.
