From precision medicine to patient-level data strategies, BearingPoint’s Claudia Carr explains the benefits and challenges of using digital tools in healthcare.
As technology continues to develop and advance in unprecedented ways, its presence in various sectors and industries continues to grow as well. Sectors such as finance and IT are slowly but surely becoming more acquainted with advances in AI and automation, but one area that is expected to benefit greatly from these advancements is healthcare.
We recently visited BearingPoint to speak with Claudia Carr about how the company is utilising digital tools to help healthcare providers offer a “patient-centric” solution.
Carr spoke to us about the challenges of providing this solution, as she emphasises that the tech should be designed “to meet the needs of those using it”.
Despite the challenges, Carr explained some of the benefits and opportunities provided by digital integration, such as precision medicine and the use of data to aid decision-making.
“With the implementation of electronic health records and the collection of a 360-degree view of the patient, there’s data now available that allows clinicians to make more informed decisions about the needs of their patients.”
She also discussed how BearingPoint is working with hospitals across Europe to improve their data strategies in every level of their infrastructure.
