With Gigglebit, we turn the spotlight on humorous and/or amazing content about science and tech, because sometimes the lighter side should be taken seriously, too.
Today, we’re going back in time to the early days of the consumer web, when Geocities, garish colours and animated iconography reigned supreme. With The Geocities-izer you can transform a modern-day webpage to look like it was made using the popular web-hosting platform back in the day when web ‘design’ would make your eyes weep.
We’ve put our own website and Google.com through The Geocities-izer to show what they would look like in all their Nineties glory. White text on a yellow background? Be grand! Got a GIF that makes no sense? Use it! And of course you can just tile a small image to make a background!
