The company behind The Summit and F.ounders has announced 40 new jobs as The Summit prepares to double in size from 10,000 visitors to 20,000 visitors this November.
Paddy Cosgrave, David Kelly and Daire Hickey founded The Summit – formerly known as the Dublin Web Summit – in 2010.
Since then, the event has grown from the initial three founders into Europe’s largest technology conference, with a workforce of more than 50 full-time employees. The organisation is now close to doubling the size of its workforce.
The company is holding its first large US conference Collision in Las Vegas on 13 and 14 May and ticket sales for The Summit in Dublin in November begin on 20 May.
Speakers already confirmed for the October event include PayPal co-founder and serial entrepreneur Max Levchin, Oculus VR CEO Brendan Iribe, and the chief technology and strategy officer of Cisco Padmasree Warrior.
Cosgrave said the new positions include roles such as data scientist, iOS engineer, VP of sales and head of partnerships.
“We’re hiring for a lot of senior positions immediately, and we’re prepared to pay up to €10,000 to anyone who refers us to someone we hire,” Cosgrave said.
“It’s become a very normal practice in Silicon Valley for fast-growing companies, and it’s something we’re testing for referrals until 30 May.”
