Business social network LinkedIn is to create 100 jobs in the next year to make way for growth at its Irish operations in Dublin.
The new jobs, which are to be across existing departments, are part of the company’s plan to target additional markets in Europe, The Irish Independent reported.
LinkedIn currently employs more than 400 people in Dublin city centre, at its global headquarters for all territories outside the US and Canada.
The company opened the headquarters in March 2010 and LinkedIn has exceeded targets for this stage in its business in the Irish capital.
LinkedIn is now also reportedly also seeking larger office space to accommodate this growth.
The Irish Independent reported a LinkedIn spokesman as having declined to comment on LinkedIn’s future investment or hiring plans for its Irish offices, saying the company doesn’t comment on rumour or speculation.
