Job-seekers hoping to land a position in technology, science, research or innovation are in luck: the sectors will be in the spotlight at Career Zoo in Dublin on 15 February.
Companies such as Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) and Irish food giant Kerry Group, who are also sponsors of the career fair, will be recruiting at the event.
SFI’s research centres will be on the lookout for candidates to fill various positions, from post-graduate level to PhD and post-doctoral level. If you’re a technician or research assistant looking for work, then SFI is interested in you, too.
Prof Mark Ferguson, director-general of SFI and chief scientific adviser to the Irish Government, lauded how Career Zoo is an excellent example of how vibrant the career opportunities are in Ireland for professionals and graduates with a scientific or engineering qualification.
“SFI is looking forward to engaging with attendees at this year’s Career Zoo and helping to showcase the diverse and exciting opportunities which a career in science or engineering in Ireland can provide,” Ferguson said.
Kerry Group is also looking to fill roles in those disciplines, to be based at its Global Technology and Innovation Centre in Naas, Co Kildare.
Sharon Corbett, head of recruitment for Kerry Group, said the company’s €100m investment in the new centre for the EMEA region will bring significant career development opportunities across a range of disciplines, including technology, finance, scientific research, and product development.
At Career Zoo, attendees can also take part in career workshops, listen to talks in the Tech Box, and check out a Career Clinic, hosted by Hays Recruitment.
Career Zoo will take place in The Convention Centre Dublin on Saturday, 15 February, from 10am-5pm. Admission is free, but anyone interested in attending is advised to register online first.
