David Dobbyn has been appointed EMEA regional counsel for US tech multinational Xilinx. Dobbyn previously worked for A&L Goodbody in corporate law.
Dobbyn will advise on Xilinx’s legal and corporate matters for Europe, the Middle East and Africa on subjects such as commercial and contractual agreements and corporate governance. He will be based in Xilinx’s EMEA HQ in Dublin which employs more than 250 people.
Dobbyn previously worked for A&L Goodbody in corporate law and supported international and Irish clients. He graduated with a BCL European Law degree from UCD.
Xilinx specialises in designing and making programmable microchips used in a range of technologies, such as flat-panel displays, multimedia systems in cars, avionics and aerospace applications. It employs 3,250 people globally.
As well as this EMEA HQ, Xilinx also operates a research, development, engineering and IT centre in Dublin and centralised supply, finance, legal and HR functions.
