Ashton Kutcher is doing it. Noah Wyle has done it. Jesse Eisenberg has done it, and received an Academy Award nomination.
All these actors have portrayed technology leaders, but for Kutcher just yet – he will be portraying late Apple co-founder and former CEO Steve Jobs in a new indie film titled Jobs.
Wyle also portrayed Jobs, in Pirates of Silicon Valley, a 1999 film that chronicled the rise of Apple and Microsoft.
Eisenberg took on the role of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, portraying the-then Harvard student starting up the site in The Social Network. Eisenberg even garnered an Oscar nomination for Best Actor for his portrayal of Zuckerberg.
It’s probably safe to say that many actors would leap at the chance to play a technology leader – a dramatic role about an innovator, manager and strong personality, all rolled into one.
Following the news Kutcher is to take on the role of a renowed innovator, Siliconrepublic.com plays casting agent – with the help of MyHeritage’s celebrity face generator – and places other actors in the roles of tech leaders here:
