Mobile network Three has signed a deal with x-Mobility to act as a mobile virtual network aggregator (MVNA), offering a white label branded mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) for brands entering the mobile market on the Three network in Ireland.
The deal is part of Three’s expansion into the wholesale space in Ireland which will let it leverage its network. x-Mobility’s service provides new entrants with the means to connect to the Three network.
“We at Three are delighted to partner with x-Mobility and to offer their service on the Three network,” said Eoin MacManus, commercial director at Three.
“This will provide a rapid and cost-effective solution for established brands and new entrants alike to launch an MVNO with Three via x-Mobility, while leveraging our high-quality network infrastructure,” he said.
The service will give white label branding of both the USIM and the network name on the handset, allowing all aspects of the service to be branded.
It will offer operations support systems for the provisioning of services, billing support services with both wholesale and retail billing interfaces, customer care services and number portability to port customers’ numbers from other networks.
“This is the culmination of a lot of hard work and planning, but now we have launched we’re able to help even more brands that want to launch an MVNO service within 60 days and at a fraction of the cost of the traditional, direct route,” said Wayne Myers, CEO of x-Mobility.
Three will be bringing further MVNO partners onto its network through x-Mobility in the coming months.
