Internet giant Yahoo! will stream a live video broadcast of the company’s second-quarter earnings call today at 5pm EST (10pm Irish time) in what may well be a first for an internet company.

Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer announced the event on the Yahoo! blog yesterday, two days before her one-year anniversary at the helm of the company.

“We’re doing our earnings call tomorrow by video webcast on @YahooFinance!” is all Mayer wrote in the post.

Mayer will be in on the webcast, along with CFO Ken Goldman, AllThingsD reported. The two executives will be speaking from a studio at Yahoo!’s headquarters in Sunnyvale, California.

After the event, the video will be archived and available for 90 days following the broadcast.

Yahoo!’s second-quarter financial results are expected to show the company is still struggling to obtain some of the revenue that’s going to internet giants such as Google and Facebook, even though more advertisers are turning to the internet, Bloomberg Businessweek reported.
