Angry Birds maker Rovio is teasing gamers with a brief blog post telling them to stay tuned on Monday, when it will reveal “big news about a brand new game”.
“We’re talking the biggest character line-up ever, awesome new powers, and maybe even a few surprises!” the games publisher and developer wrote on its blog.
“Intrigued? Stay tuned for more news on #July15!”
If the cartoon image accompanying the blog post is anything to go by, the new game may have to do with Angry Birds Star Wars, as the image features an angry bird that casts a shadow that resembles the character Darth Vader.
The image also harkens to the photo used to promote the film Star Wars: Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, suggesting an Angry Birds Star Wars prequel game may be in the offing.
