SkillPages wins Silicon Valley ITLG innovation award

SkillPages, the social networking hub for job seekers formerly known as Weedle, emerged as the winner at the Irish Technology Leaders Group (ITLG) awards in Silicon Valley this week.

Responsive healthcare technology company Intelesens picked up the Most Promising Technology Award.

The ITLG announced the Silicon Valley 50, recognising Irish and Irish-American executives making an impact in the world of technology.

SkillPages, which is based in Dublin, is a social utility that enables a better way for service providers to be found by people who need their skills and also, to find people who have the necessary skills. SkillPages is free to use.

Intelesens, based in Belfast, is an innovator in targeted, non-invasive wireless vital sign monitor development that has developed the world’s first intelligent, wearable, non-invasive, wireless vital signs monitoring device for use primarily in remote patient monitoring and personal telehealth applications.

The promise of innovation

“Innovation is vital and Ireland’s technology companies continue to offer great promise both in their home markets and on the international stage,” said John Hartnett, founder of the ITLG.

“It is very rewarding to see SkillPages and Intelesens being recognised for their success,” he added.
