IET Ireland is holding an event in Dublin tomorrow (24 March) to evaluate the possibility that in less than a year ISPs applying to regional internet registries will be refused. Mícheál Ó Foghlú of the TSSG at Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT), will be a key speaker.
In addition to being the executive director of the Telecommunications Software and Systems Group (TSSG), Ó Foghlú is the CTO of FeedHenry, a 2010 spin-out of the TSSG’s commercial arm, the Centre for Converged Services (3CS) at WIT.
FeedHenry is a hosted environment for developing and deploying cross-platform mobile apps, with a hosted server-side. It is currently showcasing at CTIA Wireless, which is running from 22–24 March in Orlando.
Ó Foghlú is also chair of the Irish IPv6 Task Force and a member of the Advisory Committee of the World Wide Web Consortium and a member of the Advisory Council of the Internet Society.
