Thursday, 17 March, has been given as the date the iPad 2 will be available to purchase online – let’s call it iPaddy’s Day. The device will reportedly come with Thunderbolt, Bluetooth and a front camera.
An (accidental?) posting on Amazon’s German website revealed that the device – which will be officially unveiled later today – will be available on the store on 17 March.
According to the specs included in the Amazon posting, the device will have a 9.7-inch screen and will boast 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.
It will also feature the newly unveiled Thunderbolt connector technology unveiled last week by Intel, and which will also feature in the new generation of MacBook Pro notebook computers.
And most importantly, the price: €499 on the German Amazon store.
