Gala Networks Europe has announced the upcoming release of a new MMORPG, Age of Wulin – Legend of the Nine Scrolls.
This will be its next client-based MMORPG for the European market and will be available from the gPotato.eu portal in 2011.
Age of Wulin – Legend of the Nine Scrolls is a triple A martial arts MMORPG and the third game published by Gala Networks Europe with Chinese developer Snail Game.
Age of Wulin is set in ancient China, where players will be immersed in traditional daily life during a period when martial arts culture was at its peak.
Rather than having a linear level system, players can develop their character by obtaining skills through the game’s armed and unarmed combat system.
This combines a variety of martial arts, such as shaolin kung-fu, Tai Chi and ancient Chinese philosophies, such as acupuncture and inner meridians.
The game will be in 3D and promises high quality graphics and engaging game play.
Players can select their path from eight storylines and uncover a unique novel that accompanies each storyline in order to build the character.
Skills can be mastered that can enable experienced players to run on water or fly from rooftop to rooftop.
When players log out, their avatar will stay in-game, continuing daily life routines and task, according to what the player determines.
Age of Wulin will include PvE and PvP content, crafting and professions, group battles, challenges, a housing system and more.
The world spans out for more than 65km squared, with more than 30 regions and 20 instances. There are more than 15,000 quests and 5,000 NPCs.
Age of Wulin will be out in English, French and German in 2011.
