There have been more than 4m sales of the iPhone 4S this weekend, after it launched in US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan and the UK last Friday.
Last week, the iPhone 4S reached more than 1m pre-orders in one day and it appears its official launch has been just as successful.
“iPhone 4S is off to a great start with more than 4m sold in its first weekend — the most ever for a phone and more than double the iPhone 4 launch during its first three days,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice-president of Worldwide Product Marketing.
Along with this, more than 25m users have downloaded iOS 5 five days after its release and more than 20m have signed up for iCloud.
The iPhone 4S will arrive in Ireland on 28 October.
