Digg’s Kevin Rose to speak at Dublin Web Summit

Internet entrepreneur and new media visionary Kevin Rose

Internet entrepreneur Kevin Rose, co-founder of Digg, Pownce, Systm, Revision3 and Milk, has been announced among a crop of 20 new speakers who will be at the upcoming Dublin Web Summit.

Rose will be joined by the founders of Eventbrite, Yahoo Mail and Wonga, who are among a long list of speakers announced for October’s Dublin Web Summit. The two-day summit will feature more than 100 speakers.

Rose, who began his career in TV before immersing himself in podcasting and then co-presenting Diggnation, has invested in Gowalla, Twitter, Foursquare, Facebook and Square.

He left Digg earlier this year after leaving the CEO role last year.

Rose will be joining a stellar cast of top founders and executives at the summit, including YouTube co-founder Jawed Karim, Bebo’s Michael Birch, 4Chan’s Chris Poole, Huffington Post UK editor Carla Buzasi and Rovio’s Mikael Hed.

The Dublin Web Summit will take place on 27-28 October.
