The 10th fastest-growing technology company in the US, Kenexa, which is creating 30 jobs in Louth, has awarded a lucrative €600,000 hosting contract to Servecentric.

Kenexa is a global leader in the provision of talent management and retention solutions through a combination of software, business processes and expert consulting.

It has more than 1,400 employees throughout the world and delivers its services to more than 4,000 organisations in more than 200 countries and territories.

This includes four of the Top 5 biggest employers in the world. Forbes magazine recently ranked Kenexa as the No. 10 fastest-growing technology company in the US.

Kenexa recently decided to grow its European operations by opening an Irish office in Dundalk, Co Louth. This is expected to create 30 jobs by the end of 2010.

“The talent pool in Ireland was a significant reason for Kenexa choosing to locate here,” said Rudy Karsan, CEO, Kenexa.

“As we’ve ambitious targets to grow our European employee numbers, we needed to be assured of the availability of a qualified, skilled and educated workforce. Ireland continues to offer this resource in abundance.”

To support this expansion and to bring its IT infrastructure closer to its European customer base, it began an exhaustive search of top-tier Irish data centres.

Servecentric proved to be the one data centre that could reach all of Kenexa’s exacting criteria, which included meeting the highest levels of capacity, resilience and security.

Servecentric is a wholly owned, privately funded, Irish organisation. It was established in August 2002 and has its headquarters in Blanchardstown Corporate Park in Dublin.

Servecentric’s award of the ISO 27001 information security management standard and its high-profile blue-chip multinational clients were other key selection factors.

“Ireland continues to prove its competiveness and attractiveness as a location for multinationals looking for new European locations,” said Helga Muir, sales and marketing manager, Servecentric.

“Kenexa is a great example of a company that sees the opportunity in the Irish market as a gateway to Europe and as a source of skilled labour.”
