“AirSpeed Telecom is delighted to once again provide our wireless technology service to the Nestwatch 2011 project,” said Liam O’Kelly, managing director of AirSpeed Telecom.
“This is our fifth year working on the project and we are very happy that AirSpeed Telecom’s high-speed bandwidth has enabled a superior live streaming device. This year, our technology has allowed us to put broadcast quality equipment into the boxes, providing TV quality picture for those logging on.”
The service’s upload speed is equal to the download speed to make the live stream quicker to view.
With Airspeed Telecom’s wireless technology, visitors can log in regularly to monitor the birds’ progress and see their eggs hatch this month. This year, a HD camera has been fitted for the live stream.
Almost half a million web users log on each year to keep up with what’s happening in the nest.
It is available to view on the Mooney show website.
