Siri has been in the news a bit lately after a few… discoveries. For example, have you received some sassy attitude from your handheld helper?
When you ask Siri, ‘what is zero divided by zero?’, it gives you an answer that is just filled with attitude:
“Imagine that you have zero cookies and you split them equally among zero friends. How many cookies does each person get? You see, it doesn’t make sense, and Cookie Monster is sad that there are no cookies and you are sad because you have no friends.”
Sound.
Well in a departure from such rude ‘tude, it turns out that both Siri and Google Now are on the ball when it comes to contemporary issues, especially those that fall down evocative, social lines.
With that, we look no further than Caitlyn Jenner’s recent introduction to the world. Causing quite a storm, she seems to have become a pioneer for the transgender movement almost immediately.
So if you ask Siri a question by Caitlyn’s former name, Apple’s answering genius corrects you straight away – when you ask about Caitlyn’s gender, you are left in no uncertainty.
Google Now, too, seems to be up to speed. Correcting you when asking who Bruce Jenner is, it then refers to one of Caitlyn’s recent interviews to offer details.
