Fibre broadband revolution leads to 30 new jobs at Pure Telecom

13 Aug 2015

Pure Telecom is to create 30 new jobs over the next two years in a €2m investment as the company targets substantial growth driven by the arrival of fibre broadband services in Ireland.

The new jobs will be spread across customer care, sales and technical support and will bring the company’s total headcount to 80 people.

Pure Telecom is aiming for significant growth in its residential and business customer base, targeting an increase from 30,000 to 45,000 customers over the next year, which would yield additional revenues of approximately €6.5m.

Pure Telecom recently signed a two-year partnership agreement with Eircom Wholesale worth €20m, which gives Pure Telecom customers access to Eircom’s high-speed fibre broadband network.

The telecoms company can also provide access to other leading networks, including BT and Verizon.

Two-thirds of customer growth is targeted to come from customers signing up for its 100Mbps fibre broadband service.

As well as customer care, sales and technical support, Pure is also aiming to hire national and regional sales managers and supervisory roles.

“We’re looking to add people to our team who have the hunger, drive and dynamism to build a successful career in telecoms,” said Pure Telecom’s director Paul Connell.

“We want people who share the same values that have helped Pure Telecom grow to the company it is today. For us, it is all about passion for customer service.

“We’re transforming people’s expectations about the level of customer service they should expect from their telecoms services provider.”
