Glassdoor is planning to hire 100 people in a new Irish base over the next three years as the job recruitment and reviews site sets up shop in Dublin.
Opening up in January, the company is already recruiting the first third of those employees, which should take a year to complete.
The office location has yet to be confirmed, but the company – which is looking for people in sales, marketing and business development – is targeting the city centre.
“We looked around at London and other locations and Dublin really stood out as a tech hub,” said Diarmuid Russell, head of Glassdoor International.
“It is attracting talent from all over Europe and so that was a key selling point for us. We think we are going to be able to tap into a pan-European workforce who have come here specifically to work in technology.”
The IDA has worked with Glassdoor and is helping the search for the requisite office space, with CEO Martin Shanahan saying: “Talent is the number one reason why companies choose to come to Ireland. Glassdoor has a great understanding of this.
“This launch from Glassdoor forms part of their investment plan for Ireland. We welcome their plans to open an office in Dublin in January 2016 and wish them continued growth and success.”
Glassdoor is headquartered in Mill Valley, California and was founded by Robert Hohman, Rich Barton and Tim Besse in 2007.
