After what can only be described as a bit of a lull, it appears as though the jobs market is finally back to full swing, with 508 jobs announced this week alone.
While the number of roles announced this week may not compare to the dizzying heights of last year, it’s a relief to see the sector bouncing back from the more-than-three-month dry spot we’ve been experiencing.
The big announcement this week came from HubSpot, which plans to role out 320 jobs at its Dublin-based EMEA headquarters.
Also hitting the big numbers is Intercom, announcing 100 jobs for Dublin following a significant investment.
Other companies rounding out the figure are CXC Corporate Services (30), Endeco (26), Pure Storage (18) and Bizimply (14).
But, while it’s been a blessedly good week for jobs, there has been more going on here on Siliconrepublic.com.

1. HubSpot to create 320 jobs at new offices in Dublin
Inbound selling and marketing specialist HubSpot is to create 320 new jobs at its European headquarters at One Dockland Central, which it has dubbed DubSpot. This will bring employment at the company’s Irish operations to close to 500 people.
2. Intercom creates 100 new jobs in Dublin
San Francisco-headquartered Intercom is to create 100 new jobs in Dublin after raising $50m in investment from top-tier Silicon Valley investors, including Slack CEO Stewart Butterfield.
3. 30 jobs coming to Dublin at CXC Global
Thirty jobs are to be created in Dublin by the workforce solutions firm CXC Corporate Services with the opening of its new EMEA hub and services centre.
4. Irish IoT SME Endeco to hire 26 staff
ESB clean tech fund NovusModus is to invest €3.3m in SME Endeco Technologies – which uses the internet of things (IoT) to reduce energy consumption for large businesses – creating 26 staff.
5. Pure Storage EMEA centre will allow it to double workforce
Storage software solutions firm Pure Storage has announced its plans to open a new EMEA support centre in Dublin, with aims of doubling its workforce of 18 by the end of 2016.
6. Bizimply to double workforce to 28 after €2m funding
After announcing a move to its new office in The Digital Hub, Irish start-up Bizimply has secured €2m in funding, which will allow it to double its workforce from 14 to 28.
