Arkphire, a Dublin-based IT consulting and services company, has announced the acquisition of the networking solutions provider Bootstrap, with the creation of 35 new jobs.
Based in Sandyford in south Dublin, Arkphire currently employs 55 people across its offices in Dublin, London and San Francisco, and is now looking to expand on its previous years of growth, which saw it achieve a turnover of €50m as of the end of June, up from €30m in the same time last year.
Arkphire has built a considerable presence in Ireland, with vendors including EMC, VMware, Veritas, Dell and Cisco, which offer IT infrastructure to clients in telecommunications, finance, healthcare, manufacturing and energy sectors.
By combining Arkphire with Bootstrap, the newly-merged company aims to add 35 new staff across the next two years to grow the business, which it expects will lead to a 50pc growth by the end of 2017.
Additionally, the merging of the two companies is expected to generate €55m in annual revenues.
Two offices, one location
This will bring the company’s Dublin presence to two offices, with Bootstrap also having its office in Sandyford where it currently employs 16 people.
Paschal Naylor, Managing Director of Arkphire, said of the deal: “We have partnered with Bootstrap on a large number of network projects since 2013 and found that the two companies have similar values and business ethos.
“We are really proud to now have the opportunity to work closer with such a great company and team of people as we enhance our technology offering to clients of both companies.”
