Payroll outsourcing company Payescape is expanding in Ballymoney, adding 23 jobs as it eyes UK growth.
Offering payroll services to SMEs, Payescape’s three years in existence has seen continued growth, with the requirement for investment in both labour and equipment the next step in the company’s plans.
With averages salaries of around £19,000, the new roles are part of a structured sales drive to attract new customers, with investment in technologies to complement that ongoing.
“We are pleased with our progress since the initial investment in 2013 and are now focused on implementing a five-year development strategy that will help us achieve our growth objectives,” said Payescape’s MD, John Borland.
“With enhanced sales resources and aggressive marketing plans, we are targeting the mid-tier payroll market in the UK and are investing heavily in promotional activities to improve our web presence and awareness of the Payescape brand.
“Upgrading our technology and boosting our sales team will ensure we can continue to offer customers a flexible user-friendly interface supported by an efficient processing software and quality service by experienced payroll qualified staff.”
The news comes after several other technology companies created hundreds of new positions in Northern Ireland.
Belfast has been chosen as a new technology hub for Tullett Prebon, with the financial services company announcing 300 new jobs in Northern Ireland.
Following news that it benefitted from Brexit – with profits rising by 11pc thanks in part to the drop in value of sterling – Tullett Prebon’s new “major technology centre” will take three years to fully fill.
Elsewhere, Crossvale, a US software firm based in Dallas, will open a new centre in Belfast, creating 12 software engineering jobs.
