Asavie’s technology will ensure that Dell enterprise customers can have secure control over their IoT networks.
Irish company Asavie has been selected to join Dell’s internet of things (IoT) programme as an associate technology partner.
The announcement was made at the Industry of Things World event in San Diego.
Asavie’s PassBridge technology enables mobile operators and original equipment manufacturers to rapidly launch, scale and secure end-user-focused enterprise mobility and IoT services.
“Together, Asavie and Dell offer industrial customers a secure, seamless, end-to-end IoT connectivity experience without any of the potential delays typically associated with rolling out a global cellular project,” said Lars Jerkland, vice-president of OEM for Asavie.
Rapid, robust IoT delivery
In December 2015, the Irish company announced it was hiring 106 developers in Dublin to expand PassBridge.
Combined with Dell Edge Gateways, PassBridge offers organisations a secure, end-to-end connectivity, off the public internet, as part of a cloud-based platform.
This will enable them to roll out IoT projects rapidly and securely, according to Dell EMC vice-president in charge of global IoT and embedded PC sales, Jeff Brown.
“Dell’s Edge Gateways and Asavie PassBridge provide customers with a scalable, secure and robust IoT solution.
“As a result, enterprises can accelerate IoT implementation, generating increased cost savings and rapid delivery of new services to market,” Brown said.
