Young adults to get digital citizenship skills for democracy in the age of the internet.
Money raised by employees of mobile operator Three Ireland will provide young adults in Limerick with skills in digital literacy, social action and youth leadership.
Three Ireland and An Cosán Virtual Community College (VCC), in partnership with Limerick Youth Service, have created a fully funded online community development programme for young adults.

Beginning in early May, the ‘Introduction to Community Development’ course is a six-week programme aimed at young people (18 and over) who are interested in gaining the outlined skills.

The interactive course will also investigate and identify strategies and practical approaches to support digital citizenship.
The course will be delivered at Limerick Youth Service, Lower Glentworth Street, Limerick.
It will start with an induction day on Saturday 6 May (10am-4pm), followed by five online sessions every Wednesday from 6-8pm at the same venue, with computers and other supports provided.
