The good news keeps on coming for Belfast, with financial services company Funds-Axis the latest to reveal a tranche of new jobs.
Northern Ireland financial services company Funds-Axis is expanding its Belfast presence, with 29 new roles to follow several client wins.
Funds-Axis provides investment compliance, risk and regtech services to the global investment management industry. The new jobs will range from risk and compliance roles to positions in HR, marketing and finance, averaging £25,500 in salaries.
Growth of Funds-Axis
“These new jobs will support the continued growth of our investment compliance, risk and regulatory reporting business,” said Darren Burrows, MD of Funds-Axis.
“We have recently secured new clients in the UK, Europe and the USA, and Invest NI’s support is enabling us to strengthen both our management team and our risk and compliance team, ensuring that we are well placed for continued future growth.”
Invest NI’s Jeremy Fitch said: “Funds-Axis is one of a growing number of regulatory technology companies within our financial services sector.
“The company’s product strategy has fuelled its expansion in recent years and is central to its current growth strategy, which will see Funds-Axis take its headcount from 18 to 47 over the next three years.”
Earlier today (12 June), Version 1 revealed plans to expand its space at Cromac Place, moving into an adjoining office by the end of the year. With that, it will also double its headcount, rising to a total of 120 within two years.
Version 1’s influx of “substantial new business” is behind the move, with pharma giant Almac among its Northern Ireland customers.
The company was created in Dublin in 1996, opening up in Belfast five years ago. Overall, it has more than 900 staff in offices in Ireland, England and, of course, Northern Ireland.
Meanwhile, Northern Trust has revealed it will be bulking up its Limerick operations, targeting a total staff count of 1,400 across its two sites.
Already armed with 1,000 employees in Hamilton House and City East Plaza, the company wants to bring in the new staff over the next five years.
