Deloitte to recruit 300 graduates in Ireland

11 Sep 2017

Professional services firm Deloitte is hiring 300 graduates across a number of service areas around the country.

It’s that time of year again and, for graduates looking for their first job after college, a new announcement will be music to their ears.

Today (11 September), global professional services firm Deloitte begins its search to fill 300 graduate positions across Ireland, including Dublin, Galway, Limerick and Cork.

Students from all academic disciplines are encouraged to apply, including accounting, arts, business, law, science, technology, engineering and maths, among others.

Uniquely, Deloitte is appealing to today’s graduates with a speedy online application process. The application and assessment is mobile optimised, so graduates can choose to apply on their smartphone or tablet.

There will be a variety of opportunities available for prospective graduates, including in risk advisory, corporate finance and consulting.

Deloitte’s technology programmes will also include a number of graduate positions in cyber risk, analytics, systems integration and in Deloitte Digital.

“Through our graduate programme, we are offering graduates across many different disciplines the chance to experience and realise the careers they aspire to,” said Brendan Jennings, managing partner at Deloitte Ireland.

“Our programme allows graduates to grow with us and achieve their career goals.”

Last month, Siliconrepublic.com got an inside look at what Deloitte’s programme was like from the perspective of one of its graduates.

Niamh O’Connell, a business analyst within Deloitte’s consulting practice, started out at the professional services firm in a graduate role.

She said the programme prepared her very well for working life. “The skills I have learned from working on client engagements – along with various training courses I have undertaken – have equipped me with a skill set that I know I can apply to any career in any industry,” she said.

“Everyone I worked with was so approachable and supportive, and genuinely wanted to help me progress my career.”

Deloitte is the largest professional services firm in the world by both revenue and number of professionals.

The firm prides itself on often being considered as one of the most innovative companies in technology consulting.
