The largest employer in Ireland’s northwest region has opened a new state-of-the-art campus in Letterkenny.
Pramerica Systems Ireland, a wholly owned subsidiary of US-headquartered Prudential Financial, today (20 October) celebrated the opening of a state-of-the-art new campus, dubbed The Rock, at its Irish base in Letterkenny, Co Donegal.
Pramerica has had a presence in Letterkenny since 2000, starting out with just eight employees. Since then, it has grown to become the largest employer in Ireland’s northwest region with more than 1,500 on its staff.
The €42m campus spans 130,000 square feet and has been equipped with green technology for electricity generation and rainfall harvesting. It was a year-long construction project and a statement from the company claims it was one of the largest in the country, employing more than 220 local tradespeople.
Ample car parking and green spaces for recreation have been included for staff at the new site, and the company will donate €10,000 to the local Special Olympics services to mark the opening.

“This investment underscores our commitment to the Letterkenny community and to Ireland,” said Barbara Koster, senior vice-president and chief information officer of Prudential Financial Inc, who was on site for the opening.
“This new campus ensures that the immensely talented people who work here have every resource they need to provide excellent service to the customers they support. The exceptional community backing we enjoy here only adds to the success.”

Koster heads the parent company’s global business and technology solutions department, with oversight responsibility for cybersecurity, technology governance, architecture and standards at Prudential locations worldwide.
While in Letterkenny, Koster (who has Irish heritage) will be recognised with the Tip O’Neill Irish Diaspora Award for her professional achievements and support for Ireland.
At the Letterkenny base, Pramerica provides a wide range of technology and business services and solutions to Prudential.
